Smith Creek Pottery

Autumn is a great time in the Midwest…the entire landscape turns beautiful oranges, yellows, and tonal browns and the air starts to feel ‘crisp’! Pumpkins, gourds, and hay bails start popping up on people’s front porches, and apples become the ‘fruit of the month’. What better way to enjoy them than to bake them in one of Linda Sickmon’s apple bakers! Those of you who already own one know how great they are, and those of you who don’t need to come into the BCA Gift Shop as soon as possible to purchase your very own apple baker! They make great gifts, but are also a must-have for your own kitchen. Just add your favorite topping like cinnamon, brown sugar, butter, or red hots into a cored apple, place it in the baker, and slide it in the oven with whatever you’re cooking that night. (You may even need more than one!) They sell for $25 each and BCA members receive 10% off…just for being a member!

Reminder to mark your calendar for the Smith Creek Pottery Fall Open Studio, 10am-4pm Saturday, October 1, 1655 E. St. Highway 164. (10 miles east of Monmouth on 164)
