A Christmas Carol

Auditions will be held for “A Christmas Carol” on September 8, 9, and 12 at the Wells Theatre on the Monmouth College campus, 700 E. Broadway. Auditions are 6:30pm-8:30pm on September 8, 5:30-8:30pm on September 9, and 1-3pm on September 12. Callbacks will occur at 3pm on September 12, if necessary.


Auditions are open for all ages, from elementary school age and up. Director Mel Delbridge is committed to diverse casting and performers of all races, gender identities, neurodivergence, and abilities are encouraged to audition.


For students and adults, requirements are 16 bars or 30 seconds of a Christmas carol or hymn, which can be sung a cappella or with recorded music and reading from sides which will be available at the audition or may be requested in advance. Auditionees may perform a 1-2 minute classic or contemporary monologue as well, but monologues are not required.


Photos will be taken at auditions, but actors may bring photos and resumes, if they have them. Rehearsals are scheduled to begin October 3, and production is November 18-21.
