Art and Sustainable Self-Care Brunch

FREE for all teachers, administrators, paraprofessionals, staff, and other education-related folks. 9:30am–12:30pm February 25, 2023 in the BCA Gallery. Registration is required by February 1, 2023. Click link for more information and to register. https://bcateacherscare.weebly.com/


This Teachers Caring for Teachers program is a free event to honor and support education professionals through a series of engaging sessions. Participants will learn techniques for meaningful self-care and experience hands-on activities that nurture the creative spirit.


During this event: Opening remarks will be given and brunch and beverages will be provided. Five artistic/creative/meditative sessions will be presented. Participants will rotate through all five sessions throughout the morning. Mid-morning snacks and coffee will be available. A take-home "care kit" will be ready for pick-up at the end of the event.


Sessions: Physical Self-Care -- Hydration (etching glass water bottles) Emotional Self-Care -- "Soul Shelf" symbols (model magic) Social Self-Care -- "Compassion Cards" (collage) Psychological Self-Care -- Mindfulness Meditation Ecological Self-Care -- Connecting to the World (air plant arrangements)
