Founded over 40 years ago by AAUW members, Lila Blum and Jan DeYoung, the BCA Art Presenter program brings art and creativity to grade school classrooms, and is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn about art, as well as express themselves creatively through hands-on activities. The Buchanan Center for the Arts provides a collection of artwork and supplies through grant funding from the Warren County United Way, the Addleman Foundation, and the Galesburg Community Foundation.

More than 50 community volunteers visit area classrooms once a month from October through May to present a short lesson about an artist and his or her artwork, and lead the class in an art-related activity.
