The Buchanan Center for the Arts is pleased to present Love, Loss, and What I Wore 7:30pm Friday, May 4 and Saturday, May 5 in the BCA gallery. Tickets are available at the BCA. Friday-$12 includes wine and hors d'oeuvres. Saturday-$8.

Love, Loss, and What I Wore features an all female cast and was adapted for the stage by Nora Ephron (Silkwood, When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle) and Delia Ephron. It is a play of monologues and ensemble pieces about women—clothes and memories covering all the important subjects—mothers, prom dresses, mothers, buying bras, mothers, hating purses and why we only wear black. The play has been described as a “small time capsule of a woman’s life—and not about fashion, but those moments when we are trying to find our identity through the clothes we wear.” The popular show has been produced Off-Broadway, in many U.S. cities, and has toured the U.S. and abroad. Many actresses have appeared in the show including Kirstin Chenoweth, Jane Lynch, Rita Wilson, Natasha Lyonne, Tyne Daly and Loretta Swit. Parental advisory: mature language and adult subject matter.
